How does it work?
Emails are routed to one of the Webroot datacentres by simply modifying MX records in the DNS. Webroot has dedicated hosting facilities within world leading datacentres. Inbound and outbound Internet emails are then scanned, ensuring that unwanted content is blocked before it reaches your mail servers, and can be archived, providing a secure off-line audit trail of an organisation’s email traffic.
All configuration and monitoring is accessed using an intuitive web-based bit encrypted to ensure security. After logging into your domain control panel, general statistics are displayed giving a real-time snap-shot of current traffic volumes, spam levels, virus levels, top senders, top recipients - delivery issues are also highlighted. Detailed on-line reporting and analysis of email traffic is provided. From the web-based control panel traffic flow can be viewed, with a breakdown of spam and virus related email volume.
Protecting email flow to and from your organisation is also provided via encryption and business continuity webmail.
Encryption
All incoming and outgoing emails can be sent via a secure, encrypted channel, therefore avoiding security breaches.
Business Continuity
Should disaster strike an organisation’s internal email structure, then the Altman Technologies Email Security Service will queue email for delivery and allow these queued emails to be viewed securely via the web. Once the issue has been resolved then emails will be delivered. Also available is an optional user level email business continuity that will allow users to access, read and send emails when your own mail server is offline or at fault.
WEB FILTERING
Using the same Software as a Service approach, the Altman Technologies Web Security Service scans all web requests before they get delivered back to the requesting user. The Webroot technology ensures that there is low risk to the organisation without costly hardware or software needed to be installed on the client network.
