As one of the most advanced file type identification engines, Deep Content Scanning provides the ability to scan content contained in over 300 different file types. To help administrators, file types have been grouped into 20 different categories within the web-based management console, enabling the ability to set attachment scanning policy based on a file type category such as word processing, spreadsheets, etc. The console also provides the ability to create customised file type categories as well as apply attachment-scanning policies at a group or an individual user level.
