Overview
Image Scanning provides protection from exposure to distasteful images, with no hardware or software purchase or maintenance required. Many organisations recognise the distress that can be suffered by users who innocently open email to find distasteful images attached. Increasingly, organisations recognise that they have a responsibility to minimise these incidents and consequently Altman Technologies provides a filter specifically to address image analysis.

When images are scanned their dataflow (shape, colour, texture, etc.) is converted into a digital signature, which is then compared against known pornographic images. If the image is similar to those blacklisted images, the email content is defined as being of a pornographic nature and appropriate action is taken to either delete or quarantine the email.
Key benefits
- Stop inappropriate images before they reach local networks
- Managed service 24 x 7; no hardware, no software, no maintenance, lower costs
